Henry,Since my first car when I was 15 was a 1964 300 Sport coupe, I've always liked the look of them. I think the roof is actually very well styled and a more modern design than the earlier forward look ones. It also allowed a much different body side design. These were the last of the true Exner era designs with the 1963 Chrysler styling to be used on the proposed downsized 1963 Imperial with sparrow strainer taillights perched on the rear quarters. When you compare the 1964 Chryslers to the 1964 Dodge 880, which still carried the old roof, it is a great difference. Don't get me wrong, I love the earlier roofline as well but I can appreciate both. I don't know if the roofline alone is what has kept the popularity and value of the 1963-64 cars down over the years but most people that have owned them certainly seem to like them. And one good result of the prices is that younger people are finding these to be the most affordable of the era and are really getting into them. Also helps that they made a lot of them in 1963 and 1964. There is a healthy Facebook group for them and many of the members are younger people just getting into old Chryslers.Nick--On Sun, Dec 1, 2024 at 8:09 PM <henry.schleimer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:--I must admit that I am not a fan of the J/K styling but I do like the price! One thing I can’t explain though is, to me at least, the convertible version with the top down looks pretty good - compared to the hardtop. There is no right answer to this, but do others have the same opinion on the C-pillar design?

I’ve lost track of pix of 300K reverb installs so am just posting this picture showing the area behind the rear seat of our loaded Roman Red Ram rag.
Have a great December.

Dave,
Now that you mention it, Donnie did mention you owning this K when I first met him in Seneca!
When I was enlisting 300s for Geneva, Donnie also mentioned having a freshly restored K convertible, but I already had Don Nissen’s teed up. I’ve not seen that K convertible.

Not mine, but a beautiful local northeastern Illinois 300-K Coupe for sale, posted on Facebook late yesterday by Donnie Carr - in the Group 'Chrysler 300 Letter Series 1955-1965' -
I am going to sell my 1964 Chrysler 300k Hard top beautiful condition I’m gonna call the number three maybe 6000 miles since restored older restoration runs fantastic drives fantastic stops fantastic tons of parts I am going to ask 19 Thousand 500 I really feel it’s worth that like I said lotta parts Has redline tires with Mag wheels Have original rims and hubcaps also
I first saw this K and first met Donnie about 8 or so years ago at a cruise nite in Seneca, IL - 70 miles sw of downtown Chicago. I've attached some photos - 1st 4 are ones Donnie posted; last 3 are ones I took when his K was displayed at our local Geneva, IL Concours in August 2018, where Letter Cars were featured - we had 20 Letter Cars and a 300 Hurst gleaming on tree-lined Second Street.
Donnie's K is also seen in my Geneva Concours video posted on our 300 Club's website - seen at 15:09 of this video -
Donnie's a member of our local WPC Club, but not our Chrysler 300 Club Int'l.
