eBay Hub/Drum Puller

There is a photo of one of these heavy duty pullers at:

Mine is designed for a 1 1/4 socket in an impact wrench.  Others have a "T" that you beat on with a heavy brass hammer.

The important thing about these pullers is that a cheap one is useless.
These hubs have been on the axles for many years - it takes a real man sized
puller to get them off. The JCWhitney variety usually break without doing
the job. You need a name brand tool - Snap-on is the best, but there are
other quality tool brands out there too. Don't buy anything made overseas.

To determine if your car has tapered axles, take the wheel cover off a rear
wheel and note whether there is a big nut in the center of the hub. If
there is, you have tapered axles. If not, you don't. I think 65 was the
last year for these, but I am not certain of that.
