You think that is bad, last weekend I lost the bidding on a bumper jack for the '56 Imperial on e-bay to someone willing to pay $202.50. The bidding started at $9.95, hovered around $75.00 for several days, and then jumped to the limit during the last 3 minutes of bidding. Now that's ridiculous! All I wanted was to have an original jack in the trunk of my car instead of the perfectly fine non-original replacement that I bought over 30 years ago. Most of us wouldn't really use the jack either. It would just be for display. Unfortunately, many '55 & '56 Imperial parts also fit Chrysler 300 letter series cars so that inflates the value of these parts.
