Big car, ordinary garage

*laughing*

When I had my old house (& wife), my '53 Buick Super 2DHT fit with room to spare. Years later after no longer having all of the above, I finally bought my little 'dream home' & never thought much about the garage as I was (& am still) driving a '96 Mazda Miata.

THEN I ran across this beautiful yellow '67 Crown Coupe on eBay, bought it & drove it 500 miles to home. It was only then that I discovered that the car was 19' long & my garage was 20' deep! For now I use a car cover.

The moral? Most newer home garages (1990 & up) are not meant to accomodate these luxurious road-eaters. So losing 1' here, 1' there and you still have plenty of room for today's luxury(?) cars. My '02 XJ-8 fits perfectly, yet the Crown Coupe would have to touch the front wall with about +/- 6" clearance against the door! *sigh*

No, had I realized the car's dimensions I would have said "who cares?" & bought it anyway!
